"How would you know that you have actually forgiven someone?

When you are not obsessed about that person anymore, and can concentrate on other stuff. When you can think or talk about that person without anger or resentment. When talking or thinking about that person doesn’t hurt anymore and you don’t feel teary eyed. When instead of either overeating or starving, you eat normally. When instead of either yelling or sulking, you are yourself once again; that is when the forgiveness is complete."
